DUI/Criminal Defense

If you have been charged with DUI, or any other Criminal Offense, our attorneys can offer you aggressive defense to protect your rights every step of the way.

Washington State has enacted some of the toughest DUI laws in the nation. DUI, or Driving Under the Influence, is a Gross Misdemeanor. The maximum penalty for this crime is a year in jail, a $5,000.00 fine, or both. If you have been arrested for DUI, it is important that you contact a lawyer immediately.

A DUI conviction can affect you and your family in many ways, including license suspension, fines, higher insurance rates, mandatory installation of an ignition interlock device, and jail time. If you are not a United States citizen, you could be deported if convicted of DUI.

If you have been arrested for DUI, you will automatically be subject to two proceedings: the civil case where you can request a hearing with the Department of Licensing (DOL), and the criminal case where you could ultimately lose your driving privileges and your freedom if convicted by a Washington Court of Law. Please don't let this happen to you - contact a DUI attorney for help today.

DOL Hearing:

From the date of your arrest, you have only 30 days to request a DOL Hearing, or your license will be suspended automatically, and you may be forced to install an ignition interlock device in your vehicle. The DOL treats the deadline seriously, and you should retain an attorney prior to submitting a hearing request. If you have been arrested for DUI in the state of Washington, contact us for a free consultation as soon as possible.

DUI Criminal Proceeding:

After an arrest for DUI, you will be required to make mandatory court appearances, possibly as soon as the following day (including Saturday in many courts). From the date of your arrest on, there will be several milestones where important, informed decisions will need to be made that will substantially impact the outcome of your case. Don't go it alone -- contact us for a free consultation today.
